LA GRANDE, Ore. – The University of Providence softball team had seven players named to the Cascade Collegiate Conference Academic All-Conference team, the league announced.
Ashlee Anderson (biology), Bri Clifford (psychology), Taylor Matthews (education),
Skyla Minert (education),
Karlie Southworth (psychology),
Hanna Tarum (education and history) and Hannah Vandomelen (exercise science) all received the award.
"I couldn't be more proud of these girls," head coach
Joey Egan said. "All five of my seniors received this honor and that is a great accomplishment. The other two student-athletes that received this award are two of my strongest leaders. When your leaders are also the ones getting it done in the classroom it makes for a great team."
To be named Academic All-Conference, student-athletes must have a 3.2 GPA and at least be a sophomore in standing.
