GREAT FALLS, Mont. – Cooper Page recorded a hat trick as the University of Providence hockey team got some revenge Saturday night, defeating Williston State 5-2 at the Great Falls Ice Plex.

The win comes a night after the #3 ranked Argos (7-4) fell to top-ranked University of Mary 5-0.

"It was a good game," head coach Jeff Heimel said. "I thought we played well. Our emphasis was on structure and having a game plan and sticking to it. We had a less is more approach with some things. I thought that piece was well."

Levi Anderson and Erik Gatson added a goal each to add on to the three goals Page scored. Will Wright led the team with three assists while Ty Alger added two. Tristan Lewis started in the net and recorded 36 saves on the night.

"Tristan played a good game in the net," Heimel said. "Cooper had a hat trick, he obviously played a very good game. It was a productive day. We didn't have a lot of opportunity on power play but we made them count."

The team will spend the next week regrouping as they prepare for Montana State on Jan. 14. The game will tip off at 7:00 p.m. at the Great Falls Ice Plex.

"We'll have a good film session on Monday," Heimel said. "We made a lot of changes to a lot of our systems. I thought that went well. I think there are a lot of unique learning opportunities that could help reinforce those new changes."
