GREAT FALLS, MONT. – The University of Providence women's soccer team kicked off their 2023 season versus Rocky Mountain College on a blistering day at Argo Field.
The Battlin' Bears (1-0) struck first in the 3rd minute with a goal from Mandi Dallimore off a corner kick by Halle Labert to take the 1-0 lead over the Argos (0-1).
The Argos answered in the 25th minute when
Ernestina S. Ofori made the goalie miss before putting it into the back of the net to tie the score at 1.
UP had a few scoring chances glance off the crossbar to start the second half, but Rocky Mountain College would score the next four goals including a penalty kick to win the match 5-1.
The Argos return to action on Aug. 25 when they host Northwestern College at 3:30 p.m. at Argo Field.
