Argos Host the Griz in Great Falls

GREAT FALLS, Mont. -- The University of Providence men's hockey program hosts #12 University of Montana on Jan. 19. Puck drop is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. at the Great Falls Ice Plex.
  
Head coach Christian Vivian on the matchup with the Griz stated, "We are very excited to get back on home ice after a long stretch on the road where we've been able to achieve some success. It'll be fun to host our in-state rival and a good hockey team here in Great Falls. We're expecting what the University of Montana has brought all season in a fast, physical brand of hockey which will be a great test to open our second half."

Last Time Out
The Argos won their fifth and sixth games in a row defeating #2 Dakota College of Bottinuea 3-2 (OT) and 4-4 (1-0) in a shootout. Despite trailing by two in the third period of game two, freshman Adam Husli and senior Jakob Stevenson were able to find late goals to tie it, and it in overtime freshman Chris Fines denied all three of the Lumberjacks chances to secure the victory.

Season Leaders
Husli is the goal leader after scoring 12 so far this season. Husli also has the third most points on the team with 21. Senior Jakob Stevenson is second on the team in goals with 10 and has the most points on the team with 28. Fines is the save leader for the Argos, tallying 355 in 10 games while giving up 2.98 goals per game so far this season.

University of Montana
The Griz were ranked #12 in the latest ACHA rankings. UM is 15-12 so far this season and are coming off a 5-2 victory over Logan Lake their last time out. The Argos and the Griz split their pair of matchups earlier this year with the Argos winning 4-1 in Great Falls, and the Griz taking the second game 5-2 in Missoula.    

How to Watch
Puck drop is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. on Friday in Great Falls, Mont. at the Great Falls Ice Plex. The Argos will play another game on Jan. 20 in Missoula, Mont. at 8:30 pm at the Glacier Ice Rink.
