dropping to Warner Pacific 1-2.
"It seems like they are in a good place," head coach
Brian Clarke said. "We're coming off a tough loss and a tough situation to really have to do well to make the tournament. The comradery is good, the competitive spirit, the trainings have been pretty good this week. They're in a good place."
The Argos (4-6, 5-9) currently sit at 7
th in the conference in points with 12. They're one point ahead of Southern Oregon, and three points ahead of Evergreen and Warner Pacific. The top eight teams make the Cascade Conference Tournament.
"We're just taking it one game at a time," head coach
Brian Clarke said. "That's all we can do right now and let the results be like they be. If we just focus on what we need to do then we'll feel good about our opportunity."
The Argos will face off against Rocky Mountain (5-2-1, 8-3-1), who is tied for 4
th in the conference with Carroll and Corban. The Battlin' Bears also defeated the Argos 4-0 earlier in the season.
"They're a solid team," Clarke said. "They've had good results this year. They are tough all around – good defensive line, nice around the middle and they put some balls away."
Clarke likes the focus and energy has team has had this week as they prepare for their final home game.
"We're doing our normal things," he said. "We're training a little earlier over fall break which is nice. Our preparation is the same as it's always been. We're prepared to do our best and do our thing."
