Buck was a crucial recruit for Lady Argo volleyball, as one of the first big-time Montana products to join the program. She was All-State at Choteau High School in both volleyball and basketball and helped build momentum for UGF with in-state recruits.

She made an instant impact as a freshman at UGF, being named Honorable Mention All-Conference and making the Frontier Conference All-Freshman team. She was once again Honorable Mention All-Conference as a sophomore and after an injury plagued junior year, roared back during her senior season. As a senior, Buck was not only named First Team All-Conference but was also named to the AVCA All-Northwest Region team.

Buck was a 4-year starter, and 2-time captain for the Lady Argos, finishing her career with 957 kills, 207 total blocks, 100 service aces, and a hitting percentage of 0.223. She also played for the Lady Argo basketball team as a freshman.
