Hall of Fame
Pius lettered six times in two sports during his CGF career. He lettered both in track and basketball from 1977-80. In track he qualified for nationals and was a three-time Frontier Conference champion in the shot put, and a seven-time Frontier medalist. He also set several school records including the shot put (15.45 meters), discus (42.86 meters), long jump, javelin and the decathlon. The shot and discus records still stand today.

Pius was President of the CGF Student Senate and graduated cum laude as a dean’s list member. Following his graduation from CGF, Pius has worked as a teacher and coach in Nevada. He was named Nevada Teacher of the Year in 1992.
